Announcing Dr. Jennifer Smith as our special guest for aug. 15 q&A

Contact: Lena Gilbert hello@theappointment.us

We are pleased to share that Dr. Jennifer Smith, co-founder and president of Missouri Healthcare Professionals for Reproductive Rights, will be our special guest for the post-show Q&A on August 15th. Moderated by Helena Webb, the Q&A will follow the 7:30 PM performance of The Appointment at High Low, as part of the STL Fringe 2024 festival.

Dr. Jennifer Smith is an OB/Gyn practicing for over 21 years in the St. Louis area.  A native of California, she and her family have made St. Louis their home since 1995.  Passionate about women’s healthcare, she has been compelled to become an advocate in the state for abortion care and reproductive rights since the Dobbs decision in 2022 when Missouri’s trigger ban made abortion, already difficult in the state, completely illegal.  She is co-founder of Missouri Healthcare Professionals for Reproductive Rights, a group of more than 400 professional across the state who stand for the restoration of the full spectrum of reproductive rights for the people of Missouri.  To achieve this goal, she has been working closely with Missourians for Constitutional Freedom to bring this initiative to the ballot in November of 2024.

Following each performance of The Appointment at the STL Fringe, a Q&A session will be held with Lena Gilbert and a special guest, moderated by Helena Webb, president of the Saint Louis chapter of the National Women's Political Caucus and a former Democratic Committeewoman. The Q&As are expected to transfer to the Urban Chestnut Brewery across the street on Washington. Confirmation of the venue will be announced at each performance.

The Appointment is a deeply-felt and thought-provoking show. It is our experience that audience members have things to say. We are here to listen. Get your tickets now and be sure to join us for the post-show Q&A. Performance times and special guests are listed below.
